These are questions people new to the club often ask in our WhatsApp groups (with answers). Lists are not exhaustive and we have no commercial links to any venue/business listed below except our coaches. *Junior FAQs can be found here.

1. What races are members doing?

Club Championships take place at local organised events through the season. The only exception is our Middle Distance Club Championships which rotates between an overseas and UK event. All are listed as events on the Races WhatsApp group. Our self service calendar shows other races members are doing including triathlons, runs and cycles.

We have boxes available for hire to members. Contact Michelle Witheriff to check availability and buy through the Club Shop.

5. What are some good bike routes from South East London?

A dedicated page is under development with recommended routes.

6. Do you have weekly club bike rides?

Rides of various lengths and speeds for novices, intermediates and more experienced riders are all organised through our club WhatsApp groups.

7. Am I good enough to join the swim training sessions?

Our swims are open to all, although we recommend you are able to swim 200m continuously. If not, you may want to consider adult beginner classes or private coaching first.

Bonus. Can I complete a full distance IRONMAN?

Absolutely! Come to our training sessions regularly (including the core session), speak to other members for advice, utilise ChatGPT/YouTube and consider getting a training plan from a coach for more structured support.
